"From Village to City" Ramadan fair will be held in the capital

20 / 05 / 2020

On the occasion of Ramadan holiday, “Agro Procurement and Supply” OJSC, under the Ministry of Agriculture, will arrange “From Village to City” Ramadan fairs at three different locations of the capital. The fairs, to be organized on May 23-24, will encompass Narimanov, Yasamal and Binagadi districts.

The main purpose in organizing  "From Village to City" Ramadan Fairs is to fully meet the growing demand of the capital's residents for agricultural products with healthy local and natural products and to create alternative sales channels for small and medium-sized farms.

It should be mentioned that due to the coronavirus pandemic, there was a temporary break in the activities of the "From Village to City" fairs. Consequently, Ramadan fairs will be organized in accordance with the quarantine norms approved by the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers. Therefore, within the scope of anti-coronavirus measures, before the start of the fairs, the venues in which the fairs to be arranged will be disinfected, the temperatures of farmers and visitors will be measured, and farmers will be provided with the necessary protective medical supplies (medical masks, gloves, alcohol, etc.).

"From village to city" Ramadan fairs will be held at the following addresses:

Yasamal district, at the intersection of H. Javid Avenue and S. Dagli Street (near to Space TV)

Binagadi district, 5B, S.S.Akhundov Street (near to the Ingilab Cinema)

Narimanov district, near to Ganjlik metro station

It should be noted that the products sold at the fairs arranged within the scope of "From Village to City" project, are fully local production and are sold by the farmers

who have previously applied for participation in the fairs. The prices of products presented to the residents of the capital at the fairs are distinguished from other sales centers and markets by their accessibility and suitable to the budgets of low-income families, as well as other residents of the capital.
